Peace Lily

I took the reference photo for this painting when I was watering a peace lily plant. What inspired me to paint it is the way that the light hits the leaves it creates an abstract design with the strong highlights and shadows. The color was interesting too- the yellow green appears to be a warm color while the blue green is perceived as being cool.
