Summer at Lake Audubon Acrylic on Archival Gessobord 8”x10” Chris Breier © 2015 |
I had an early morning appointment to have my car worked on, which is the time of day that I normally work on my paintings. At first I thought I would have to prop the drawing up on my lap to work on it but they recently updated their waiting room with a work area, complete with tables and office chairs. I set up a makeshift studio and got to work. (Click "Read More" below to see the drawing for this painting).
Life is unpredictable. I realized that if I’m going to paint everyday that I would have to fit it into the idle moments that arise throughout the day. Having my car repaired really only consists of being busy for a small percentage of the total time, there’s at least an hour that I could spend drawing while I waited, below is the finished drawing for this painting.
This is the prelimnary drawing that I completed while my car was being repaired. |
